How many of our children are prepared for kindergarten? Success By 6 has partnered with the Shelby County Public Schools this year to help assess kindergarten preparedness and learn the answer to this question. Southside Elementary has piloted a comprehensive kindergarten-entry assessment for their students. Keep reading for more details.

Kindergarten Countdown logo

Kindergarten Countdown: From May 23 through August 4, children starting kindergarten in the fall can pick up a free T-shirt at any Louisville Free Public Library branch. T-shirts will not be available at Kindergarten Countdown events. This summer’s events include activities at the Speed Art Museum (6/13), YMCA (6/25), Kentucky Derby Museum (7/11), Louisville Science Center (7/25), Walden Theatre (7/31 & 8/7) and Slugger Field (8/4).
