On December 1st Metro United Way threw its first ever Community Pep Rally. Over 350 people attended the event and cheered the results of the campaign to date while drumming up support to help finish the campaign strong. The event culminated in a Field Trip to local businesses where donors were thanked by people who have benefited from their support. Metro United Way Success By 6 is working to ensure that all children are safe, healthy, nurtured and prepared to succeed in school. That's why we're offering a FREE developmental screening tool for children ages birth to five for any parent or caregiver in our region. The Ages & Stages Questionnaires are easy to use and give parents a chance to see how their child is progressing in his or her development. When indicated, families are connected to existing resources to help their children be successful. Check out WAVE-3's story on this initiative. |
